7. My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia is an anime series that was released in the spring of 2016. It is a shounen-super power anime. The anime shares many similarities with Fire Force. Both have worlds where characters have superpowers. The main character of My Hero Academia, Izuku Midoriya, shares many similarities with Fire Force’s, Shinra Kusakabe.

Both characters are kindhearted, and fight for what they believe is right. The road isn’t easy for either of them as they must overcome the League of Villains. The anime is currently airing its fourth season during the current fall of 2019 season and is projected to be 25 episodes.

The story follows Souma Mizuno a womanizer firefighter. After rescuing his childhood friend Ryou Fujihashi from an apartment fire the two get intimate with each other. Fire in his Fingertips is one season airing for eight episodes. The anime is short, airing for roughly six minutes per episode.

4. Demon Slayer

The best anime of the spring 2019 season is Demon Slayer. It’s a shounen-demon anime, and shares similarities with Fire Force as both share dark themes. In Fire Force, it’s Infernals causing death and in Demon Slayer, bloodthirsty demons roam the lands.

Demon Slayer’s Tanjirou Kamado wants to save people from Demons after his sister Nezuko is attacked by one. Similarly, Shinra Kusakabe wants to fight Infernals to avenge his sibling too.

The creators of Fire Force stole the ideas for the supernatural beings/creatures from Promare, an anime film created by Studio Trigger. Both feature teams of firefighters who put the bad guys/monsters to rest. In both cases, the bad guys are supernatural in nature.

In Fire Force they are Infernals. In Promare they are Burnish. The teams of heroes in both cases are called Burning Rescue. In both cases, the creators of the bad guys stole the ideas for the super-powered “bad guys” from the creators of the real-life bad guys.

2. Blue Exorcist

Blue Exorcist is a shounen-supernatural anime. It shares similarities with Fire Force as both main characters share similar traits. The main character in Fire Force, Shinra Kusakabe, feels as if he has something to prove. He wants to protect people. He has a conflict with his family and wants to live on his own accord.

Both series are filled with action fighting scenes. Blue Exorcist follows Rin Okumura and his run-ins with demons. Wanting to live on his own accord, Rin trains to become an exorcist so he can fight against his brother. Blue Exorcist aired for 25 episodes and is two seasons.

1. Soul Eater

Both Shinigami and Infernals are supernatural enemies. In Fire Force, it’s the Yakuza who threaten the peace of the world. And in the second season, it’s the Yakuza who must protect the world from the threat of the Fire Force. In the second season, there are many similarities between Soul Eater and Fire Force.

For example, the Yakuza who threaten the world in both shows are the same. Also, in both shows, the main characters must protect their worlds from these threats, and they both have to train to do so. Finally, both shows have an epic third season that is not connected to the first two seasons.
