‘Furūtsu Basuketto’ or ‘Fruits Basket’ is a romantic anime based on Natsuki Takaya’s manga series of the same name. The story follows the life of Tohru, who finds herself homeless after the death of her mother. She receives shelter from a classmate Yuki. She soon finds out that Yuki’s family is cursed, and the members turn into Chinese zodiac animals when hugged by the opposite sex. Natsuki promises to keep it a secret and continues living inside the house, soon finding herself falling in love with Yuki.

The main character of this story is Shinichiro, who was born in the same year as his crush. He has always been friends with the other boys, but they are all much younger than him. So when he meets Hiromi, he is completely taken by her. He decides to do something about it, but she is cold towards him. She is in love with a boy from another school. To make things worse, Shinichiro has to deal with the eccentric Noe who likes him.

A great coming-of-age story, The Flower We Saw That Day is about Jinta, a social recluse who has always lived alone and likes to stay that way. One day he sees the ghost of his dead friend Meiko, who says that she cannot pass to the next world since one of her wishes has not been fulfilled. He then revives their old group in order to fulfill Meiko’s wish and she can finally find peace.
