For a planet that’s mostly comprised of water, we certainly have very little of it that’s actually drinkable. Much of the water on our planet is actually salt water, which cannot be consumed. If we tried to drink it, we’d quickly shut down from dehydration and hypertension.
We require fresh water to thrive, but the availability of clean water is actually rather slim. In developed nations, we tend to treat water as an eternal commodity, when the truth is that’s it’s really a resource that isn’t renewable. Like fossil fuels, our water supply is limited.
When one thinks of drinking water, it’s common to imagine bubbling springs and flowing streams. While some bottled water does in fact come from a spring, a lot of it is just regular tap water that comes from below ground. Most of our clean drinking water is actually ground water, which is why it’s so important for us to get a handle on pollution.
When we throw away hair sprays, cleaning solutions and other hazardous chemicals, the materials end up running off and it’s absorbed into the ground. These pollutants can easily contaminate our drinking water. Other countries clamber desperately for a sip of clean water, and they’e usually forced to drink from a dirty creek that could be teeming with bacteria and disease.
In order to keep tabs on the quality and levels of groundwater, we require the use of tools like the resistivity meter at AIG. This machine can monitor the water that’s far below the ground with ease.

Computer engineers need the skills to create functional and technical design qualifications for software development. They must also have solid programming skills, and be familiar with data types, syntax and control structures. Along with the ability to correctly analyze information, software engineers also need to be able to fix multifaceted application glitches and be able to produce quality requirement specifications, design documents and test plans.
